Hi Tech News today
The all new Chevrolet Camaro 2016, or the "Muscle Car" as dubbed by car lovers, will be out soon on roads. Before that happens, the automaker has revealed a few noteworthy details of the sixth generation Camaro. It will be offered in coupe and convertible versions, both styles are similar to the two models: the LT and the SS. The change, however, is that there are only 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS trim levels.
The entry level Camaro is priced at $26, 695, with a $995 destination charge. This represents a $2000 increase from its previous model. The V-6 Camaro is priced at $28, 190 including destination charges. The V-8-powered Camaro SS has been priced at $37, 295, with destination charges included.
The all-new Chevrolet Camaro is priced toward the higher side, but the lesser known part is that it is fitted with Chevrolet’s latest and high-tech powertrains. Additionally, the automaker took General Motor Alpha architecture from the Cadillac ATS and CTS, which according to Chevrolet, makes it 28% rigid structurally. The smaller Alpha architecture means that the engineers of the new Camaro have taken away all the excess weight bit by bit and came up with an amount, that is approximately 200 pounds less than the existing Camaros.
The new and improved Camaro is lighter and more powerful. The lighter weight will also help increase fuel efficiency and driving experience of the all new Camaro 2016. Chevrolet has also installed a few amazing features inside the vehicle such as OnStar 4G LTE, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, a driver mode selector, and the backup camera, along with its very own “MyLink infotainment system.”
With the basic model (1SS), there comes a unique front and rear fascia, a vented hood, specific grilles, and a specific rear spoiler. The other additional features include cooling systems for transmission, influential engine oil etc.
The upgrade to 2SS will bring along leather-heated or ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, heated steering wheel, interior spectrum lighting, Bode premium audio, head-up display, rear cross-traffic alert, and much more.
Among the available accessories, there are three aluminum wheel designs in multiple finishing, such as grille kits with body-color, chrome or primed inserts, a blade-style rear spoiler, and a ground effects kit, each offered in 10 different colors.
The exterior is redesigned to eliminate the sharp edges that are there in the previous Camaro. There are also some very prominent differences that make it overall an even more attractive vehicle. The reason behind the reduction of the edges was to bring better fuel efficiency and to reduce the aerodynamic lift, which gives the car better handling, alongside increased efficiency.
The interior seems nothing less as its cabin has been designed terrifically. However, it is more driver-focused, along with classic control technologies that include a new configurable instrument cluster and a customized ambient lighting feature.
